Gear Review | Epiphanie Camera Bags for Women!

I’m SO excited about my new [Epiphanie] camera bag!! (Special thanks to my momma for hooking me up with this sweet bag!!) I’ve been coveting it for a while now, and was SO giddy with excitement when my mom gave it to me yesterday!! I took it out with me at my shoot today for the first time, and did a little test run. I have to say I was mighty impressed with how chic I felt – and it totally passed the test for function!! (Plus my client’s mom totally wants to buy one now too!)

First of all, I know you’re probably thinking – GOSH that is the CUTEST bag ever, but I am so afraid to get it DIRTY!!!. Well to be honest, I was a little afraid of using such a pretty purse and setting it on the dirty ground, but really, it wasn’t so bad! I gave it a little leather proofing last night (I used Synovia Leather Protector from Nordstrom), and did a great job slugging it around in the dirt and grass and so far it seems fine!!

It holds my essential [Gear] just great. (One [Camera Body], [35mm], [50mm], and [45mm TSE] + a couple batteries). Plus the outside pockets were perfect for my [CF Card Case] and [iPhone]. I had my sweater and keys thrown on top and was good to go! The leather is just as soft and supple as the images show, and it even matches our cute [4x4 MINI Albums] by [KISS]. It fits over your shoulder so nice, or you can use the long strap across your body. No digging into your shoulder or slipping off, and did not seem to heavy with my camera and three lenses. I am totally in love!!

**EDIT TO ADD** I have to say I’ve been schlepping my bag around for a couple weeks now, and it’s seen sun, dirt, mud and now rain! So far it’s been holding up very well. I’ll add more here as the wear and tear ;) continues!!

If you have any other questions about the bag, feel free to let me know in the comment section! Feel free to share links back to YOUR Epiphanie bags too!

This bag is PERFECT for professional photographers who want to look cute and stylish, moms who need a camera bag for on the go, a cute purse for going out – that hides the fact you are toting around expensive camera equipment inside, a teen who wants to look SUPER adorable, or someone who just wants a cute PURSE!!
PS – you have GOT to check out the [Kelly Moore Bag] too! It’s a completely different style, but equally fab! I’ll have to do a review on them too once I get one!!

The [Lola] bag by [Epiphanie]!

Shari Barnes - Thanks for the review! I have been staring at them for two weeks trying to decide between the red or the turquoise. What I want is the Lola style in the turquoise color. LOL! Glad to hear it worked great for you!

s h e r r y - Hm. This is CUTE! Can’t wait til you do a Kelly Moore review too. :D:D I really want one, but I can’t decide if I want a Kelly Moore or Epiphanie bag!! <3

Hannah Suh - How does the bag feel while wearing it with all that gear? I’m leaning toward the Epiphanie bags over the Kelly Moore bags because I like having the shoulder pad on the strap.

I’m soooo on the verge of buying the Lola. It’s too gorgeous to pass up!

Michelle Moore - Hannah – It seemed totally fine with me! Not too heavy at all! Plus when I was carrying my camera in my hand and had it across my body with the longer strap it was perfect!! :)

Lesley - Thanks so much for the review! Also love the fact that you put your purse in a bush for a product shot… :D

Jeanette - I am so glad you love the bag she is a beauty…I may have to breakdown and get one. Thanks for the review!

Alicia - Oh my, I want one!! 0_o Not a terrible price for a fashionable camera bag either, I usually see them running for $50-100 more.

Christine Pobke - so flippin’ cute! i’ve had my eye on the red lola bag as well – and seeing those gorgeous pics makes me want them even more! good to know that they’re comfy as well – just what i need! a comfy bag! thanks for taking the time to review it and share! xx

jillian kay - my sis got me the turquoise “belle” bag last month and I have seriously been enjoying it!! i get a ton of compliments and it’s been easy to carry at shoots (shoulder pad rocks). love it!

Kaity - GAH! I’m SO excited to be getting one for my birthday (my momma’s hooking me up too)! Thanks for sharing! :-)

Kate Ford - I just got the Kelly Moore bag and I LOVE it. I was debating between the two but I had never seen the Epiphanie bag in person. I would love to check it out sometime- we will have to have a bag play-date :)

sandra - i’ve been eyeing the belle for a looooong time but the price (and the fact that i don’t NEEED it) is what’s stopping me right now. so glad to hear your review on it!

Vanessa - Thanks for the review! I’m ooing and ahhing over one of these bags!!! :) Love the red!

Melissa Blue - That’s pretty rockin! I’ll have to see if I could get one!

Kia Gregory - Thanks for putting all your stuff into it and giving it a proper review!! Love how that red just POPS!

ali - Oh no! I didn’t want one of these at all until I saw your beautiful photos! Now I just totally need one! Ugh!

Emilee Fuss - Wow, this bag is gorgeous! I’m in the process of looking for a new camera bag, and think I may have found the one!

Brie - I have a question: Do you think that a camera body with a lens attached would fit? In addition to another lens or two? I really need a bag that I can fit my camera with battery grip AND an attached lens.

Michelle Moore - Brie – I definitely think so! The dividers on the inside are removable so you can arrange them in any way, and I definitely think you can fit a camera with a lens on there and a few extra gadgets!!

Jessica Hanaumi - Ooooh, I HAVE to get one!

ajira - Oh wow. Thanks for this review… this bag was already on my wishlist but it’s just moved up to the very top and kicked everything else out of the way!

Amy C - I have the Ginger and I LOVE it!! It’s more than I dreamed. Tons of storage and you can rearrange. I have the 50mm on my Nikon D300 face down and there’s room for several more lenses, cards or whatever you need to store. There are 4 pockets on the outside too. I keep my cell phone and keys in there. I took a look at the Kelly Moore bags and I think my Epiphanie has much more room!! Can’t say enough good things about it.

Audrey - Ooooh thanks for sharing Michelle. These are just FAB!

erin - Damn you. I think I am buying one today.

lisa - I love these bags and have been trying to decide between the red & aqua….I really want the red, but was concerned that the top looks a bit narrower than the other one and it would be frustrating to get into easily…. have you had this issue, or is it big enough, that it doesn’t bother you? thanks for your input!

Michelle Moore - Lisa, yes the sides of the inside are a little cramped, but not too bad. It’s a little weird getting things shoved down in there, but for the most part I haven’t had too much trouble pulling things in and out. I only shoot with one body and three lenses however, so I would consider this bag if you have 3 lenses or less, that are primes, not zooms. Hope this helps!

Kati Decker - Thanks so much for your review! I’ve been staring at the Kelly Moore bag and the Epiphanie bag and am heavily leaning towards the Epiphanie bag. I wrote up a blog post and would love to hear your thoughts on it and if you picked up the Kelly Moore Bag & how you like it.

Cheers.

Gabrielle Bass - I really, really love this bag. I want to see what they come out with next..in the meantime, I might get the Lola. My issue is, I hate synthetic material. I wish they would make one in leather or even patent leather. I’ve been toying with the idea of buying a few large shoulder bags that I like, ripping the insides out, then getting my seamstress to do the pretty lining and custom inserts.
…decisions decisions

ann - Can you tell me what the fabric is like inside the bag? I’m really excited about this bag, but I wish I could see it in real life!

Michelle Moore - @Ann – I’m not sure what it is called, but it’s a soft material that the inserts Velcro against.

Chantal Brown - I just purchased the red Lola bag. I am so looking forward for the UPS guy to be at my door step. I hope soon!

Simone - I Michelle, I’m wondering if your bag is still holding up after 5 months. I’ve been contemplating buying one.

Simone - The question is red or black. I’m a plain Jane, the red is tempting, but with fall on the way, I think the black would be more versitale, although, hopefully my mom is generous as yours and maybe she will buy it in red for me for christmas.

Michelle Moore - Simone, this bag is holding up MARVELOUSLY! It’s still in perfect condition, and am loving it more than ever! I like the black one too – either one you can’t go wrong!

Gear Review: Epiphanie Camera Bag « - [...] really like any of them specifically. So I didn’t buy one. Then, a few months later, Michelle Moore did a review of the Epiphanie Lola bag, and I knew I wanted it. Mostly because it could double as a [...]

Sherry - Just wanting to know how the Lola bag is working for you. I just got my first real camera and I am thinking of getting this bag. I need to fit the Canon Rebel with lens and the 75-300mm lens in the bag with battery charger and manual. Do you think this would work. Would love to know how you like your bag and any draw backs. Thanks…Sherry

Ambyr - Help!! Debating b/t the Lola and the KM classic. I have a Canon 5D Mark II with a 24-105, 50mm, flash and will probably be adding a 70-200 and battery grip soon. Can I get the body + 24-105 in either bag or will I have to take it off? Is there enough room for all of the gear I listed in either of these 2 bags. Love the KM hobo, but not big enough. Worried about the lack of a zipper in the KM classic b/c of gear possibly falling out or being stolen out of bag.

Robin - Hey Michelle – I was wondering how the hardware is holding up and what the quality of it is like? I’ve had a lot of issues with bags before where the loops would open up because they aren’t soldered together, both with zipper closures and the straps. I have a Kelly Moore bag right now and I noticed that her hardware is like that and it is making me a little nervous since it is my camera bag!

Cindy - Can anyone tell me are the bags available for sale anywhere besides the website? I really would love to check them out. I am a bigger woman and want to make sure the straps can fit..The bags look great.

Andrew Scott - Can anyone tell me where I can buy the lola bag in turquoise. I spotted that my partner (Maryanne Madden Photography) wanted one, and for the first time in history I can buy her something she wants for her birthday. The Epiphanie website suggests ‘out of stock’ and need to get one before end of April… Help anyone… Not for my sake… Maryanne has had enough rubbish birthday gifts from me…! Thank you. Andrew.

Kacy - Michelle,
I was wondering does the bag hold a 70-200? I’m so torn between this bag and the b-hobo bag from Kelly Moore. I don’t know what to do :/

Abigail - Gosh! That is the cutest camera bag I have ever seen! :)
I am most likely getting it for my birthday! Gah! Can’t wait!

Katelyn - Hi! :) I was wondering, would you recommend this bag for a sixteen year old, who would like to get into photography and already owns a dslr? Please let me know!

Angela - Hi, very nice review. I so love the color and the style. My only concern is the width of the bag. 8″ seems to be quite wide for the width. I’m wondering if the 8″ is after all the gears are put inside or before. If the bag is empty does it actually collapse smaller? Will it look kind of really protruding out when viewed from the side?

Petra Utíkalová - Hello, I would like to ask whether to get LOLA Epiphania 70x200mm lens + body and a short two lenses? Or better to choose CLOVER Epiphania? And then I would have asked, or rather Epiphania KELLY MOORE? Thank you for your opinions and advice;-)

Kim - Is the red lola a fire engine red or a duller red?? Some pix make it duller some not?
