Happy Monday! The sun is shining in Seattle – and gives us excitement for the upcoming Spring & Summer months. Here is a look back from this past year at one of our Class of 2012 Senior Reps, Anna. Anna was photographed in one of our gorgeous Seattle Parks with the beautiful tall grass, and lovely back-lit sun. I love that she brought her dog to her session, she followed us around the entire day and was so well-behaved! We are always happy to accommodate you bringing your pets, just be sure to chat with us before-hand. Thanks!

Sunny Windswept Senior Portraits with Sidney, Class of 2012

As Seattle prepares for our first severe winter storm of 2012 (yes INCHES of snow are expected through Wednesday!) I wanted to look back on some sunny Senior Portraits from this past Fall. Spring is just around the corner and will be sooner than you think! Sidney was photographed in one of my favorite new locations and we had a beautiful afternoon for her session. This is a perfect example of the beautiful light (and wind!) we get in fall & spring. So lovely!

Windy Nature Inspired Senior Portraits with Maryliah, Class of 2012

A few months ago I ventured to one of Seattle’s most popular parks to photograph Maryliah for her Senior Portraits. It was windy – but beautiful. I love that she chose to have our hair & makeup stylist [Jenny] place a small braid at the crown of her hair. It really added to the soft romantic vibe of her wardrobe and location. Choosing a nature location was especially perfect for the shots at the end with her dog! We encourage you to bring your pets to your [Senior Portraits]. ENJOY!

Sun drenched late fall Senior Portraits with Anna, Class of 2012

The beach in the late fall was the perfect setting for Anna’s senior portraits. Her stunning natural beauty and grace was highlighted by the glow of the crisp air and last of the autumn leaves. Anna prefers to stick to the bare minimum with her everyday make-up and Jenny was able to create a look for Anna’s portraits that stayed true to her personality – while giving just enough definition for the camera. This is what I love most about our make-up applications; you will always be looking like yourself and 100% comfortable before heading to the photography portion of your session.

I adore Anna’s style, and how well it worked with a natural setting. This beautiful sunny day in late-fall (early winter) is the perfect example of the type of beautiful portraits you can get out of Seattle year-round! It is a bit chilly, but can work amazingly well with your favorite fall wardrobe.

Early Fall “Urban Prep” Senior Portraits with Hailey, Class of 2012

Hailey was one of our very first fall sessions, and we had a beautiful (slightly) over-cast day, with a peek of sun at the end as we were wrapping her session up. It was the perfect light for another “urban prep” session – a nice mix of textured walls, and a pop of color with the ivy – which gave us the right amount of variety for backdrops. I love Hailey’s style and how she mixed her favorite pieces to create a bohemian look with a bit of a rocker edge.

Happy November, and I hope everyone is having a great weekend! What are your favorite ways to wear this style? I LOVE the denim shirt paired with black skinny jeans that Hailey wore towards the end of her session. It’s a personal favorite “go-to outfit” in my own closet!

Light filled “urban prep” Senior Portrait Session with Isabel

Some of my favorite locations around Seattle for Senior Portraits mix a good variety of urban and green to create our new client favorite “urban prep”. When we say “urban” we do NOT mean graffiti – rather a variety of colors and textures to add some color and pop to your images. We stick to classic backgrounds, and things that compliment your senior so that you will continue to look back and cherish your images for years. I love this sunny Seattle morning we had for Isabel’s Class of 2012 Senior Portrait session. Perfect for that bright clean light! Enjoy!

Seattle Senior Portrait Photography, Kaylee Class of 2012 Senior Rep!

An overcast day at the beach and a sunny smile are the best combo for gorgeous shots at one of my favorite locations in Seattle! I’ve shot at Golden Gardens at every time of year, and it never fails to have the variety that my clients love. Kaylee is one of our fabulous “Senior Reps”, representing Michelle Moore at her high school just a bit north of Seattle. She has already done such a great job referring her friends to us, and we are excited to have her spreading the word about our brand. Even though we did Kaylee’s photos earlier this summer, she had the perfect blend of summer and fall fashion to give her images a well-rounded style.

Fall is just around the corner, with many of our clients starting school over the next few weeks. We have after-school sessions this October and November, and the fall leaves and lighting will be quite beautiful this time of year. Alaska Class of 2012 Senior Marissa in Seattle!

How fun is THIS!? Marissa came all the way from ALASKA for her senior portraits with us because she wanted “the glow in her hair” that we are known for on our sunny summer-y days! I was so excited we actually had a warm afternoon for her pictures so she could get that look she came for! (She’s even rocking her [AK Starfish Co] hoodie for one of her outfits. They are pretty well-known out of Alaska! I want one!!) We love our out-of-town clients. Thanks for choosing us Marissa. Enjoy!

Ballet Dancer Senior Portraits, McKenna Class of 2012

I love photographing dancers, and ballerinas, they are so much fun in front of the camera. McKenna was no exception! She had a gorgeous smile throughout her entire session, even when it started raining on us for the very last outfit (yes she was wearing her ballet leotard IN THE RAIN!!). I love McKenna’s styling for her session; she even brought her dog! This is a great example of the variety you can get out of your session with a few meaningful props. Enjoy!
