If you know me, you know that when I enjoy something, a LOT, well, I can get a bit obsessed. When I think of all my favorite things together in the world, I get that snuggly-pillow-feeling inside. Here is my “Obsessed List” for July. What are you totally drooling over this month?!

Nataliya graduated from high school a few years ago, but never had the chance to take her senior portraits! When she contacted me to do a fun, relaxed portrait session, I said OF COURSE!! It is never too late to get your senior portraits, or better yet, ANY time is a good time to have a fabulous and fun portrait session of yourself. Because, why not?!

I had a lot of fun with Nataylia by mixing it up with a natural location. We enjoyed the park, the wind, and all the beautiful grass. The buildings in the park, and the lighthouse reminded me of spending summers on Whidbey Island with my childhood friend. It was so warm and sunny outside. Quite a perfect day for a portrait session!

The other really amazing thing about this session, was that Rosie worked on this session, offering her simple styling session called “Closet Shopping”. This means that Rosie worked with Nataliya’s existing wardrobe, and helped her choose the best outfits for the session a week or so before the shoot. Rosie has made her services SUPER affordable, and the best part is, she can find those unique pieces that make an outfit POP (that you maybe wouldn’t have thought of on your own!). Rosie is hard at work putting together her new website + information, but she is already working on many fun projects! If you would like to add her services to your session, just let me know!! For some time I have been searching for a great and unique photo session and let me tell you, I found the best out of the best with Michelle. The whole experience was so fun and exciting; starting out with Rosie for wardrobe and then Jenny with makeup (this girl really knows what she is doing) and finally with Michelle for photos. Michelle is SO fun, adventurous, creative and full of energy (even if you are trying to be serious she will sneak a few natural smiles in there)!!! She made me feel very comfortable. Towards the end of the shoot you feel like good friends. You girls are AWESOME!!!

Hello world! I just got back into town over the weekend from a FABULOUS trip to Sonoma Valley, California to visit some friends for the week, and relax :) It was a great little trip, and now I will be spending this week catching up on buckets of editing + blog posting!!

Seattle Fashion Editorial | “70s Camp Counselor”

This Editorial is the brain child of stylist Rosie, and makeup artist Jenny. In honor of their brilliant idea, and their number one fashion icon inspiration for this shoot, I dedicate this to the late Farrah Fawcett. Here is what summer camp dreams are made of, what every 13 year old boy dreams of, and what every 13 year girl longs to be. Brittney plays the part of a gorgeous camp counselor, bored by her duties, and flirting with all the boys. She even learned how to hula-hoop in less than 60 seconds. Michelle Moore has been doing headshots for professionals and actors alike since the start of her professional career. We have a very refreshing, and relaxed approach to our headshot sesssions. Starting in 2009 we began offering sessions for high school students at a special rate to support young, aspiring actors. We want to provide you with the best in the Northwest, so that you are prepared to launch your career!!

Recently, we worked with Sarah, an extremely talented young actor, and here are a few of my favorites from her session. Sarah was a total natural in front of the camera, and her inner beauty just shines through! This was her first time in front of the camera (for a professional photoshoot), and she worked it like a pro.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind, and get you prepared for a professional headshot session!

**Your tops should be simple in pattern, bold in color, and creative in the neck-line.
**Jewelry should be kept to a minimum and classic. We want to see YOU, not your accessories!
**Think outfits that compliment your shape, and colors that make your eyes pop. Please avoid tank tops, boat necks and crazy patterns.

**Prepare yourself by thinking about your personality, and what kind of roles you are seeking out
**Do you want your headshot to compliment or contrast your personality when you walk into an audition?
**We keep hair and makeup absolutely natural, so that it will compliment your personality and show off who YOU are!
**Drink lots of water, get some rest, and be prepared to have FUN!

Seattle Senior Portraits 2010 | Natasha (Senior Rep!)

Natasha is our first class of 2010 Senior Rep! We are VERY excited to have her gorgeous smile, and bubbly personality representing Michelle Moore Photography at her high school this year. Natasha braved 90 degree weather for her portraits, and was up for pretty much anything. We covered so many different locations, so I have a BIG post for you all to enjoy!! Thanks Natasha for being such a rockstar, and saying the best quotes EVER. It was SO much fun hanging out!! If you go to high school with Natasha, make sure to ask her all about her session!!

Here’s what Natasha had to say about her session, in her own words :)
“…I was pretty anxious going into my senior portrait session, but I quickly got over my nerves as soon as I met Michelle. She made me feel super comfortable from the moment I met her… I was really impressed with her ability to find such great locations for pictures in just one block of Fremont, and she had me laughing the whole way. In our two hour adventure we endured 90 degree weather and exchanged hilarious stories all while Michelle managed to take excellent photos. She had me jumping, laughing and twirling, and I found that the only challenge was that I couldn’t quit smiling, making it hard to meet my “serious picture” quota. Working with her was great! I couldn’t have asked for a better session or for better portraits, and I’m so glad that I found Michelle to do them. So I just want to say, thank you Michelle, I had a great time…”

Catalog | “Grace & Game” Summer 2009 Fashion Shoot

I’ve been working with one of my clients on her newest venture, a Women’s Golf Clothing Line! The title of her line is [Grace & Game]. To me it’s a fusion of JCrew meets Tonic (the Canadian yoga line), with a versatile flair. She’s using organic fabrics, and materials that wick moisture, that are made for comfort and playing sports. I have to admit, that even though I’m awful at golf, being at the shoot, on the course, and around these adorable clothes, made me want to grab an outfit, clubs, a drink, and play my little heart out.

This shoot was a little piece of magic, and I can’t wait for all the success this line will have! The clothes are designed to go from playing golf, to going out. They are versatile, cute, and FUN to wear!
