I’m sharing the original image as well – so you can see the importance of shooting with LOTS of space for print. Always make sure you understand the layout of what you are shooting for before you get started. In this case I knew we wanted the model off-centered to accompany a short article on the left-hand side. Plus, with cropping for print you’re going to lose a lot of image on the top and bottom, so you’ll need to make sure your subject can “breathe” in the frame. Shooting for editorial is a LOT different than portrait work because your images WILL be cropped and manipulated – versus shooting straight out of the camera.

Make sure and grab a copy – the article is all about embracing your beauty – at any size. A topic I am always focused on teaching my senior clients!!
